The War Today
All major cities have fallen. With no defence against the hybrids, humanity has been forced into hiding. Governments have retreated to their safe houses, and civilians have fled towns and cities seeking refuge in remote areas, building tight knit communities with their own defences, few of which that have any affect.
The DPA has set up a training facility, and are working on bringing every form of forces, from police to the R.A.F up to date with techniques on destroying the enemies they kept hidden for so long. On top of this they are charged with rescuing the civilians that have not been able to flee the cities, and providing added protection to those who have. The Chthons continually hamper them in their duties and they are being stretched thin.
In an attempt to push the Chthons back a few paces from them, they DPA intelligence team are gathering information on the Chthons strongest holdout in the hope of striking, not only to give them and upper hand, but to avenge those that have fallen.
Meanwhile, The Chthons are collecting humans foolish enough to travel in small numbers using them as slaves or as subject to be changed into hybrids. Huge concentration camps have been set up in secret locations, mostly underground for this purpose.
The Guardian’s also have their work cut out for them. Supernaturals from across the world are seeking them out for protection. Not only from humans but from the Chthons who wish to draw every available force behind them. They are rapidly running out of room in their safe houses and looking to build or find more. On top of this they are desperately trying to find neutral ground between the Chthons and the humanity in order to reach neutral ground.
Working in the shadows of all the suffering are the Nahash. Making profit out of pain wherever they can, they are working closely with the Chthons, doing anything from capturing and imprisoning civilians to gathering intelligence on those working against them.
Today, the world bleeds as humanity slowly loses its grip on their home.
